چکیده
Crop rotation is one of the most relevant tools for Integrated Weed Management (IWM). In semiarid Mediterranean areas, crop limited by climatic conditions. Camelina (Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz) an interesting option to introduce due its tolerance cold and drought because short life cycle, which allows a flexible management weed control. this study, capacity camelina reduce growth seed rain corn poppy (Papaver rhoeas L.) was studied. The experiment carried out at University Lleida during three seasons (2018–19, 2019–20 2020–21). each season, varieties (GP204, Sonny Joelle) barley were sown on two sowing dates (SD) (between November February) in 1.5 m wide × 10 long plots with replications. Three 0.5 m2 quadrates established, where five P. plants from natural population allowed grow SD. Additionally, every season March, surveys performed observe effect SD flora. Results show that delaying effectively controlled winter weeds, including rhoeas, could not establish second plots. first reduced similarly presence crops 2018–19, but competed better against it 2020–21, while 2019–20. Due cycle earlier harvest date, potential production 34% 52% 2019–20% 70% reduction 23% 2018–19% 56% 2020–21 barley. conditions should be considered as tool IWM.

Intoxication due to Papaver rhoeas (Corn Poppy): Five Case Reports
Introduction. In this paper, we aimed to present five Papaver rhoeas intoxication cases, which is very rare in the literature. Case 1. A 35-year-old female patient was admitted to our emergency room with the complaints of nausea, restlessness, and dyspnea developing 3 hours after eating Papaver rhoeas. On physical examination, her general condition was moderate; she was conscious and the vital ...
متن کاملThe Role of Light in the Emergence of Weeds: Using Camelina microcarpa as an Example.
When modelling the emergence of weeds, two main factors are considered that condition this process: temperature and soil moisture. Optimum temperature is necessary for metabolic processes that generate energy for growth, while turgor pressure is necessary for root and shoot elongation which eventually leads to seedling emergence from the soil. Most emergence models do not usually consider light...

متن کاملAntinutritive Compounds in Twelve Camelina sativa Genotypes
Camelina sativa is an oilseed crop becoming important in North America and Europe for biodiesel production. The use of Camelina flours in animal diet may be limited by antinutritive compounds. The content of glucosinolates, phytic acid, sinapine and condensed tannins was evaluated in twelve accessions of Camelina sativa. All compounds showed significant differences among genotypes. Only the con...
متن کاملRefinement of weed risk assessments for biofuels using Camelina sativa as a model species
1. Biofuel production has the potential of reducing CO2 emissions while decreasing global dependence on fossil fuels. However, concerns have been raised on the invasiveness of biofuel feedstocks. Estimating invasion potential remains a challenge because of inconsistencies and inherent limitations of using first-tier qualitative weed risk assessment (WRA) protocols singularly. 2. We evaluated th...
